(in Norwegian only: Summer is here, so time for festivals! I’ll be doing both litterateur, music and children’s festivals this summer – all in Norway and in Norwegian though. )

Fredag kveld møtest Frode Grytten, Heidi Marie Vestrheim og Roy Ole Førland for å snakke om og framføre songar frå den engelskspråklege populærkulturen omsett til nynorsk. Festspeldiktar Marit Eikemo har vunne pris for gjendiktinga av Dawid Bowies “Life on Mars”. Kanskje blir det framføring av både denne og heilt nye gjendiktingar av perler frå pophistoria.
My song “Words” from the album “Black Forest” is chosen for a Sky TV trailer campaign; the new season of “Fortitude”. So, I decided to make a video so I could share the whole song with you. I´m so happy Sky wants to use my music and especially this song. “Words” has a special meaning to me. It’s my personal protest song.
It’s a song I wrote to honor all the people who stand up for what they believe in even if it can be scary sometimes and you feel like you are alone.
Please share if you like it, that would make my day!
…is here and how exiting that is! Lets hope 2017 will bring us all the very best:-)
For the most part, 2016 has been horrid. Or so it seems. Mass shootings, terrorism and general mayhem continue to dominate the headlines. We’ve lost beloved cultural icons like Prince, George Michael, Muhammad Ali and David Bowie, to name just a few. The political landscape is absolutely embarrassing. It’s feels like the world is shaking from all the fear and anger.
But lets not get all dystopian here. A lot of nice stuff happened!
Tiger numbers have risen for the first time in a century, a British couple managed to clone their dead dog, the Juno spacecraft reached Jupiter (on a mission to probe the origin of the solar system), Pokemon Go got everyone walking outside, India plants 50 million trees in one day, smashing world record, A plane just went around the entire world without a drop of fuel and I have spent an other year together with my loving my dear wife and our adorable son. I released my album “Black Forest” and got to play many concerts in Norway and Germany. I make a living of doing what I love and am blessed to have so many great people in my life. Look around you, there is so much good stuff going on, so lets focus on that. And be generous, please.
You know what, 2017 bring it on, I’m very positive!
So happy to announce “Black Forest Tour” this fall in Germany!
I’m bringing Roy Ole and Robert Post, just like last tour in March when the album Black Forest was released. I’m very exited and hope to see you there:-)

“NRK sin nye konkurranse-reality «Superbonden» er i gang. Gjennom åtte episodar skal me følgja ti bønder frå heile landet i kampen om å bli den beste og mest allsidige bonden.”
I just finished three weeks of intense filming for NRK.
Now I’m enjoying some summertime with my family before I had off to Norsk Laksefestival to do some hosting. Then Hei Kalas! will play a concert at BadnaLarm and there I will also do some David Bowie interpreting at LittLarm. (both events are part of the fabulous BygdaLarm)
Have a wonderful summer, see you in the fall; then I will continue touring with my new album Black Forest.
warm hugs from hmv :-)
