Oh yes, my new solo album in the making:-)

Got a lot done in the studio thees week. I love working, writing and playing together with Roy Ole Førland, and the very talented producer Øyvind R. Gundersen is amazing in the studio! He’s been producing and working with artists like Hanne Kolstø, Siri Nilsen, Atlanter, Rumble in Rhodos.

Gunhild Mathea Olaussen recorded some violin and I did a lot of vocals this week. I also get very inspired when I am recording, so I wrote a lot of lyrics. So happy!

My wife was taking some photos and my friend Lene and my sweet sister stepped into the studio to do some backing vocals, It sounded great! 

I’ll keep you posted and will let you know when you can listen to some new tunes. Single will be released before summer!

So I’m touring schools like crazy this spring, two projects: “Hei Kalas!” and “Barbie-Nils og pistolproblemet”. That means really early mornings, a lot of coffee and many smiling young faces….including my own…

Spending the week in Lillehammer surrounded by the lovely people at DKS Oppland and today I presented a new project at “Kulturslepp 2014” that will be in schools next year, exiting!

In-between touring schools I’m recording my new album, so all is good for me this spring!

Blind

I’ve been recording the last week, album #4 is in the making! Love the studio, my producer Øyvind R. Gundersen my musical partner for 7 years Roy Ole Førland, and I love the way it is starting to sound! 

I will be touring schools with a new band I’m in called “Hei Kalas!” the next weeks…

….but will continue recording my album later in the spring. Can’t wait to get some mixes done so you can have a listen:-)

A great month filled with contrasts! First I went to Berlin; writing and getting inspired in the artist residence. Thank you Hardangerrådet!

Then I spent two weeks touring schools in Norway, reading a really cool story for the kids about a boy called Nils. All Nils wants for his birthday is a Barbie doll, but this makes his father embarrassed. Interesting theme to discuss with 6 year old kids, I love the story! Touring Norway means going on really small ferries to really small places. All alone…

Then I spent an other week in Berlin. Of course going to the Photoautomat in Kastanienallee a few times …

..and also got some more writing done…

Now I’m back in Oslo for a few weeks and I will start recording my new album. Very exited about that!!

I went to a great dinner party with friends and wife last night to celebrate that 2014 will be a year filled with love, travels, surprises, cups of coffee, adventures, music, friends, family, happiness, cool road trips, delicious food, warm hugs, laughter, long breakfasts, good movies, relaxation, light summer nights, cozy fireplaces, holidays, magic, soul mates , cups of tea, tolerant and open-minded behavior and most of all lots of FUN!!!!

Thank you for all support, friendly words, for listening and for coming out to my gigs!

Today I’m off to Berlin! Hardangerrådet has made me their artist-in-residence this month! So now it’s time to work on my music, write lyrics and get inspired.

A really good start for 2014  – Happy new year people!!!!!

2013 has been a fantastic year for me in Germany. Lots of touring, writing new music, signing a publishing deal and different radio and tv appearances! Thank you for being a great audience – looking forward to 2014!!!!!
